At a recent Cambodia-Ireland education seminar in Dublin, the EPIC Summit 2025 was launched. The Summit is being held in Siem Reap, Cambodia. A call for proposals for the Summit is now open until the end of February 2025.
EPIC – Enhancing Pedagogy in Cambodia – is an alliance of education and development specialists and builds on the success of the Professional Identity for Khmer Teachers (PIKT) research project, lead by Professor Leo Casey, National College of Ireland, in collaboration with Phnom Penh Teacher Education College – PTEC and SeeBeyondBorders.
The EPIC Alliance has evolved out of a recognition of the unique circumstances of the Cambodian education sector and the need and opportunity for relevant, evidence-based research to guide policy-makers and practitioners. This has found particular resonance in Ireland, where there is now extensive long-term engagement.
