With over 15 years in Education, Pov joined SeeBeyondBorders in 2013. He became Country Manager in 2017 and recently was appointed as Managing Director, after returning from completing his Master of Education at Mary Immaculate College in Ireland.
As General Manager Shared Services, Taing Im oversees Human Resources, Engagement, IT and Compliance. She is also responsible for Compliance, Child Protection and Safeguarding. She is currently studying International Development in Maynooth as part of the Ireland Fellows Programme.
Sreyphet joined SeeBeyondBorders in February 2021 with over 10 years experience in Education. She facilitates the changemakers project as well as implementing and monitoring the PIKT research collaboration.
Joining SeeBeyondBorders in 2013, Phath is now General Manager of Programmes. Prior to assuming this position, he has been Country Manager, Operations Manager and Project Manager for Angkor Thom.me
Colm was a primary school teacher in Ireland before moving to Cambodia in 2014. He joined SeeBeyondBorders in 2017 and has been central to the journey towards localisation in Cambodia. Colm now leads the SeeBeyondBorders staff team in Ireland and works on our behalf in Cambodia. He reports to the board in Ireland
Deirdre joined SeeBeyondBorders Ireland in April 2024. A post primary trained teacher with a Masters in Training and Management, Deirdre joins the team at an exciting time of growth! Deirdre has 15+ years experience teaching in primary, post primary and special education settings in Ireland and recently returned home after 9 years working in disability management, policy and compliance in Sydney, Australia.
Originally from Sligo, Derek has lived in Cambodia since 2016. He is responsible for the ongoing monitoring of SeeBeyondBorders Ireland expenditure in Cambodia and ensures regulatory compliance in Cambodia and Ireland. Derek has expertise and experience in operations, budgetary control and project management.
Brian joined SeeBeyondBorders Ireland in April 2024. With a Masters in Contemporary Migration and Diaspora Studies from University College Cork, Brian previously lived in Cambodia, working in a rural sustainable development organisation there. He has over 9 years experience in communications, advocacy and direct support with human rights, humanitarian and community organisations in the United States, Cambodia, Australia, and Ireland.
Geraldine is a Chartered Accountant who spent most of her professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dublin, Geraldine has volunteered with SBBI since Summer 2021 as Finance and Administration Manager.
Gary has over 20 years experience working with Development NGO’s including two overseas assignments. His work included project management, public relations, and securing project funding from institutional funders. Gary has been volunteering with SBBI since mid-2022
Chair Catherine Byrne joined the board and was appointed Chair in July 2023. She has previously worked as Deputy General Secretary of the INTO, was Senior Policy Advisor to Atlantic Philanthropies and has served on the boards of DICE, Oxfam, Abbey Theatre and VSO.

Vice Chair Maeve Corish joined the Board on 12 November 2020 as a founding Director and served as Chair from January 2021 to June 2023. She is a former principal of Donabate Portrane Educate Together National School (DPETNS). Maeve has been to Cambodia several times.

Tom Costello joined the Board on 12 November 2020 as a founding Director. Tom was a member of the Charities Regulatory Authority from 2014 to 2022. He spent 14 years with The Atlantic Philanthropies, prior to which he was part of the teaching faculty at the Irish Management Institute.

Gemma Daly joined the Board on 21 April 2022. Gemma spent twenty years with EY providing external audit services to a variety of Irish and European public and multinational companies. She has held a number of Board positions in the non-profit sector and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Kimsor Oeng joined the Board on 1 August 2024. Kimsor serves as Deputy Director of the Office of Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia, advising on embedding regenerative design in its community-based operations. He was awarded an Irish Aid Fellowship in 2023, studying in University College Cork.

Máire Ní Bhróithe joined the Board on 1 August 2024. She is a former principal of Ratoath College, Co Meath and Castlecomer Community School, Co Kilkenny. Máire was Education and Leadership Officer for Louth/Meath ETB and became the Deputy National Director of the Centre for School Leadership. Máire has been to Cambodia several times.
